Abstrak

This study examines trader satisfaction with the management of traditional markets in Banjarmasin City, using primary survey data collected from 397 traders across 53 traditional markets. Satisfaction was measured through five indicators: staff friendliness, complaint-handling speed, fairness in stall placement, firmness in rule enforcement, and market security, each rated on a five-point Likert scale. Descriptive quantitative analysis shows that the overall mean satisfaction score is 3.06, which falls into the “fairly satisfied” category, with all five indicators consistently scoring between 3.05 and 3.08. Market-level comparison across the six markets with the largest number of respondents shows a similarly uniform pattern, with mean scores ranging from 2.96 to 3.17. These findings indicate that trader satisfaction toward market management in Banjarmasin is moderate and relatively homogeneous across markets, suggesting that management practices are perceived similarly regardless of location, while still leaving room for improvement before reaching the “satisfied” category.
